Well it was a long semester but school is finally over and now I can go back to resuming my normal life. I have put out a call for authors wanting to promote in May, please check out the Author Promotion page for more information.
I’ve also been writing this whole time and have a novel finished. I will be looking to submit to editors an then haven’t decided if I will be submitting to publishers or self-publishing. I’ve also entered a few Challenges/Contests so I’ll be sure to have more of that done as well.
Every Wednesday I will continued to showcase some of my work even though HDH has officially closed I figured I would continue the weekly additions to my blog since I do enjoy them.
Now I will leave you all with a sneak peek of my newly finished novel, Untitled right now, enjoy!
Ava woke to find herself in a dimly lit, dank cell. The walls and floor were lined in mossy rock. The only source of light came from a small candle burning on the other side of the bars. She touched her head and pain seared through her skull. When she lowered her arm she could see blood staining her finger tips.
She winced; an ache throbbing in her head, almost unbearable, even the small light from the candle caused her eyes to squint in pain. She pushed the palms of her hands against her eye sockets and willed the pain to stop. It didn’t.
She went to move, to try and stand up but found her legs were shackled to the ground. A loud clanging ensued when she tried to move her legs. Her fingers went to the cuffs around her ankles ignoring the beating inside her head. She tried to remove them, tearing at her own flesh with her finger nails. Her mind went into survival mode grabbing at a rock near by she began hitting the cuff with it, ripping at her leg and shredding the flesh.
Ava didn’t notice the man walking down the stone staircase into her dungeon. She didn’t notice as he watched her with intense longing, or when he removed the key from his pocket.
