Ahh Sunday, it is fast becoming my favourite day of the week! I love being able to get little snippets from everyone’s novels and I especially love when I can get a hold of the whole thing so I may read it all!
As usual I want to thank everyone for stopping by, and for leaving comments. They keep me going as I do edit after edit and I really do appreciate each and every one.
This excerpt again is from my WIP, Pack. Let’s see … last week I believe Araka barely escaped with her life and limbs in tack. She had successfully bitten Alex but had not killed him.
Of course you all know what this must mean.
Still, before she heads home to contemplate the total disaster which was her night she stops off in an alley way to catch a breath and check out her injuries. She ends up finding more than she had expected…
“I looked down and saw a small orange and tan kitten looking up at me.
“Meow” it said.
I softly growled; it blinked. I got close to its face and let out a low gruff; it sneezed in mine. I backed away rubbing my face with my paw, gross. I pushed it away with my other paw only to find it tumble backwards like a fuzzy ball of fur, get up and waddle back over to where I sat.”
I hope you enjoyed the excerpt! I went a bit away from the normal chaos or romance since oddly enough the cat in question ends up being somewhat important in the story!
I am loving Six Sentence Sunday and I’m sure you will too! Check it out here: http://sixsunday.com
