Again we are picking up from last week’s and continuing with my Sci-Fi Suspense WIP, not yet named …
Fear no longer held her frozen, instead it pushed her forward.
Aubree ran as fast as she could, for as long as her legs would move her. When her legs refused to co-operate with her mind any longer, a cardboard box and tattered old beach towel she found in a dumpster served as her sanctuary for the night. Not what one would call comfortable, but when the cool morning air blew against her soft skin causing goosebumps to rise she couldn’t help but feel grateful for them.
Her legs still ached, and her mind still swam. She pulled her legs close to her body wrapping her arms around them, and tried desperately to fight the cold along with the demons wrestling in her confused mind.
